The Galway Lights will mark the start of the Christmas season! So, come down and watch the big turn on! Perfect for all the family. Backed by Galway City Council, The Light Up Galway ceremony starts on

Friday 15th November in Eyre Square at 5:30pm.

This is not one to be missed as the entire square and city will be glowing! Some have said Santa and Mrs Claus will be making an appearance, so keep your eyes out!

Christmas Markets

Everybody’s favourite Christmas market is up and running in Eyre Square until Saturday 22nd December. Santa’s Grotto is perfect stop for the kids but don’t worry grownups, there’s plenty of mulled wine, hot toddys and steins to be had!

Take a spin on the ferris wheel, wander the stalls or dance the night away in the beer tent! There is something for everyone at this Christmas market.
